Megaten Glossary
Megaten? What is that?
Since Atlus® is fond of rather long names, and fans generally aren't, shortened names have been created for the series and its various games. Megaten is short for (Shin) Megami Tensei and refers to the entire series, all spin-offs (Digital Devil Saga, Persona, Devil Summoner, etc.) included. Individual games are most often referred to by the acronym of their titles to shorten them as well. Here are the most common ones found in the English fandom:
